Intestinal cancer can be cured. And yet 30,000 people die of this disease every year. Often, intestinal cancer is only discovered once it is too late for treatment. Two-thirds of all sufferers could have the chance of survival if they undertook precautionary measures. Indeed almost no other cancer can be so easily prevented as intestinal cancer.

Still today, too many people are ill aware of the different preventive measures available to them and this is what the Felix Burda Foundation is striving to change. Together with various partner organisations, including the German Cancer Foundation, the German Cancer Association and the Federal Association of Physicians, and with the support of numerous prominent celebrities, politicians and scientists, the foundation is working to encourage people to take preventive steps.
