Hubert Burda Media contributes to a number of different charity projects. Since 1996, the company has been a supporter of the Shoah Foundation, set up by American film director Steven Spielberg to produce the world’s largest collection of Holocaust testimonies to make sure we never forget. Together with Axel Springer AG and Bertelsmann AG, Hubert Burda Media is developing educational materials used to teach adolescents about the Holocaust.

The charity event TRIBUTE TO BAMBI also remembers forgotten individuals. On the eve of the BAMBI award ceremony, money is collected for a good cause. In 2005, the proceeds were given to the children’s project “The Ark”.

The Christian Liebig Foundation, named after the FOCUS reporter whose life was taken from him, helps children in Africa.
