With consolidated external sales of €2,456bn in the fiscal year 2012, Hubert Burda Media achieved a year-on-year growth of 12.9 percent. Thus, the sales increased more than 10 percent for the third year in a row. The four-pillar strategy that has been pursued by Hubert Burda Media for some years now offers good opportunities for a stable overall development of the Group in the future as well. At the end of 2012, the number of employees amounted to 9,241.
Publisher Hubert Burda made his children – the fourth generation of this entrepreneurial family – shareholders in the business at the end of the year 2010.
