These include, firstly, the group’s strategic internet activities, such as Burda ConsumerTech Group, the shareholding in Tomorrow Focus AG, DLD, Burda Digital Entertainment and Xing AG, and secondly the Burda Digital Ventures financial investment portfolio. This set-up makes Burda Digital one of the leading European internet companies linked to a media company.
The enterprise aims to grow both in existing and new B2C sectors together with partners as well as through investments and acquisitions. A tried and tested strategy that Hubert Burda Media has applied to building and expanding this digital area since 1999.

All in all, the activities pooled under the roof of Burda Digital have grown by an average of 30.7 per cent annually. The group is headed by Paul-Bernhard Kallen and has a managed turnover of € 670 million (2009). The consolidated turnover for the same period was € 379 million.
The Burda ConsumerTech Group does not only pool the successful print brands of the CHIP family and CHIP Online, one of Germany’s largest media portals with regard to reach. It also comprises the online shops Cyberport and Computeruniverse. TOMORROW FOCUS AG is one of Germany’s leading stock-listed Internet groups. Its three business areas are Transactions, Advertising and Technology.
DLD is a successful international conference platform and holds an investment in Glam Media. Burda Digital Entertainment is responsible for the online gaming expert Burda:ic as well as Burda Wireless, a full-service provider for mobile applications. Xing runs the online business networks of the same name, which is leading sites of its kind in Europe.
Burda Digital Ventures serves as the umbrella brand for investment companies such as market leaders Gameduell, Suite 101, Zooplus and Lumas.
